"Will we have the strength to defeat the neo-conservatives who are fighting to invite the government into that most sacred place of our lives?"

"By 1962 the consensus embracing separation of church and state had begun to erode"

The culture warriors who contend that the United States is a “Christian nation” gravely endanger freedoms sacred to both Christianity and the nation, Mercer University President Bill Underwood warned supporters of the Baptist Joint Committee for Religious Liberty June 25.

Anonymous, thank you for commenting. I absolutely agree that we should do things God's way, but God compels no man. He gives us the freedom to choose.

Jesus said, "My kingdom is not of this world." Whenever the church has lost spiritual power, she seeks to make up for this lack by seeking political power, and intolerance and persecution have always been the sure result, just as when the papacy slaughtered millions upon millions through the Dark Ages.

Our Founding Fathers determined to establish a new nation upon the broad foundation of civil and religious liberty. They did not establish a theocracy.

If you listen closely to what the Religious Right is saying, it's clear that when they take the reigns there will be genocide and bloodshed. These are apostate churches that are seeking control of the government.

God will make manifest their folly in front of the entire world. In Bible prophecy, God has pulled back the curtain so that His people could be prepared to withstand the tempest of opposition and wrath. He has warned them well in advance that they will even go so far as to enact as national Sunday law, enforcing Sunday as a day of rest.

This law will be enforcing the papal sabbath and outlawing the Bible Sabbath, thus making God's law void in the land. Once they make God's law void, His defense will depart this nation and we will become an easy prey to our enemies.

We may know from fulfilling prophecy that our Savior is about to return in great power and great glory. It's an exciting time to be alive. We have so much to look forward to.

"If Christian people work together, they can succeed during this decade in winning back control of the institutions that have been taken from them over the past 70 years. Expect confrontations that will be not only unpleasant but at times physically bloody.... This decade will not be for the faint of heart, but the resolute. Institutions will be plunged into wrenching change. We will be living through one of the most tumultuous periods of human history. When it is over, I am convinced God's people will emerge victorious."
