Now it’s the Bald Eagles

Bald eagles in British Columbia, [Canada] are having a difficult time finding food says a recent report in The Province. “The birds are literally starving and falling from the sky, adding to the string of strange animal events that has occurred in numerous places around the world in the past few months”

“This is the most we have ever had,” said Maj Birch, manager of the Mountainaire Avian Rescue Society, of the roughly 20 malnourished bald eagles the center has taken in since January. Many of them are starving because they cannot get chum salmon. The problem according to experts is that the supply of chum salmon is the reason the birds can’t find enough to eat.

Compounding the problem is that in order to find food, the birds have been visiting the local dumpsters and dumps where they are sometimes poisoned.

“Experts say the lack of chum salmon is likely due to pollution and overfishing, as well as recent heavy rains that allegedly washed many of the dead salmon out to sea. But the precise reason for the salmon shortage… is unclear.”

“How long shall the land mourn, and the herbs of every field wither, for the wickedness of them that dwell therein? the beasts are consumed, and the birds; because they said, He shall not see our last end.” Jeremiah 12:4

“For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now.” “For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.” Romans 8:22, 19.
