Across the Board, the Papacy is Insinuating Herself into the Affairs of the United States

The U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) which "receives a federal tax exemption as a non-profit entity, gets one-third of its annual $146 million budget from the government." Source

Our Constitution says, "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion," but the Catholic bishops are now routinely lobbying and pressuring our president and law makers in bill after bill!

Regarding just the health care bill, this from The Washington Times:

Roman Catholics were front and center in the entire process. Not only is the author of the amendment (Rep. Bart Stupak, Michigan Democrat) a Roman Catholic but so is House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, in whose office some of the final deals were cut...We all knew that various bishops were calling House members; retired Washington Cardinal Theodore E. McCarrick's call to Mrs. Pelosi's office from Rome is well known, as was Chicago Cardinal Francis George's call to House Minority Leader John A. Boehner of Ohio to make sure Republicans didn't scuttle the amendment.

Another source, The Canada Free Press, noted "the evidence of intensive Catholic Bishop lobbying activity:

The health care debate, with either side citing this or that Catholic group, has proven that the Catholic Church is exercising far too much influence over the national affairs of the United States. If Marxism is coming to America, it has a Catholic imprint.

The Catholic Church is quickly moving ahead to pass a bill to grant amnesty to illegal aliens. It is significant that on Sunday, as national health care legislation was passing the House, the Catholic Bishops were promoting a rally on the National Mall in Washington, D.C. to force congressional passage of “comprehensive immigration reform.”

Observed Ellen White in The Great Controversy (1888):

The Roman Catholic Church, with all its ramifications throughout the world, forms one vast organization under the control, and designed to serve the interests, of the papal see. Its millions of communicants, in every country on the globe, are instructed to hold themselves as bound in allegiance to the pope...
History testifies of her artful and persistent efforts to insinuate herself into the affairs of nations; and having gained a foothold, to further her own aims, even at the ruin of princes and people.
